On the occasion of HITEC City completing 25 years of inauguration, IT professionals of Hyderabad organized the ‘CBN Gratitude Concert’ at Gachibowli Stadium on Sunday. This concert initially drew a negative response with people saying it was absurd to have a concert in such a serious situation but the organizers proved everyone. It was very neatly organized with a huge crowd attending and expressing their solidarity with Chandrababu Naidu. The who is who of the IT industry, former bureaucrats, journalists, leaders of TDP and other parties, Nandamuri family members, supporters, and others have come in large numbers and remembered the services of Babu to HITEC City and Hyderabad. The stadium was filled to the brim indicating Chandrababu’s connection with the people even though he has been out of power for 20 years in Telangana. Even the leaders of the BRS and YSR Congress attended. Political events usually are about speaking political languages, dharnas, Rasta Rokos, etc but this event is something different and fresh in politics. There is very less of political criticism and a more positive rendering of Chandrababu’s good contribution. Since this is recorded history, there is no point of denial as well. The song performances and video AVs were also planned positively without melodrama appealing to the current generation. It is important to note that the event happened on the day TDP announced withdrawing from the elections of Telangana. Even then, people enthusiastically participated indicating that these protests and events were more about commemorating Chandrababu’s good work than playing politics.
